A CASE REPORT OF THE OSTEOSARCOMA IN MAXILLA

Abstract

The authors observed a 30-year-old male whose chief complaint was a abnormal swelling of the right maxillary palatal and alveolar bone. The radiologic findings showed the ill-defined radiopaque lesion with some destruction extended to the right
maxillary sinus, superiorly orbital floor, right parapharyngeal space, medially nasal cavity and hard palate, and the histopathologic findings exhibited the anaplastic chondroid elements with osteoid formation. After evaluation of above findings,
the
mass was diagnosed as a chondroblastic type of osteosarcoma occurred in the maxilla.
